Because a geothermal EES use free energy from the earth, you
will see overall savings up to 30% to 50% on your heating, air cooling,
and domestic hot water bills.
Conventional furnaces typically circulate air heated to 50 - 60°C
(120-140°F). Heat pumps circulate heat through your home at 30-40°C
(86-104°F).
The result is more air circulating at a lower temperature,
providing even heat throughout your home, and eliminating
hot and cold spots. A Geothermal EES is very quiet, providing
a pleasant environment inside & outside of the home. They
have no noisy air conditioning fan units to disturb outdoor
activities.
Because the heat pump runs at cooler operating temperatures,
stress and wear are reduced compared to traditional furnaces.
All the homeowner typically needs to do is regularly clean the air
filters, vacuum dust from the air coils fins as needed, and
periodically clean the condensate drain and pan.
Replacing your furnace with a heat pump system is equivalent
in fossil fuel reduction to parking two automobiles per year.
A geothermal EES is a low lifestyle impact way to help Canada
meet greenhouse gas emissions targets.
Geothermal EES use a comparatively small amount of energy
to operate. You can completely remove your gas meter and shut
off gas utility services to your home, and never pay the gas
consumption or gas carrying charges again! You can also remove
your furnace and hot water exhaust chimneys and reclaim this
space in your home.
With no exposed equipment outdoors, children or pets cannot
injure themselves or damage exterior units. There is no equipment
outside to vandalize. Inside the house, the heat pump units
are about the same size as a traditional furnace. There is
no flame, and no risk of gas leaks or carbon monoxide poisoning.
